History of GCE Speciality
GCE Speciality is built on over a century of expertise in gas control, tracing its origins back to Druva—a visionary company founded in a modest garage in Eppelheim, Germany, in 1967. For over 50 years, Druva has been a trusted force in laboratories, oil and gas, energy, and clean fuel sectors, establishing GCE as a leader across Europe.
In 2019, GCE’s journey took a bold step forward by joining ESAB Corporation, merging Druva with GASARC, ESAB’s respected gas control brand since 1978. GCE Speciality is united in setting new standards, combining time-tested reliability with forward-thinking solutions that bring the future of gas control into the present.
With powerful, independent brands, a rich legacy, and a presence on five continents, GCE Speciality embodies a lasting commitment to precision, safety, and groundbreaking innovation in specialty gas control. Our future commitment

As part of our strategy, we are actively venturing into new sectors that demand the highest purity standards with minimal margin for error. On the digital front, we are launching FloCloud, a gas monitoring software to optimize gas management and improve efficiency by reducing waste.

Sustainability and social responsibility
Sustainability and social responsibility are big areas with endless possibilities, challenges, and several definitions. GCE follows the definition of sustainable development from Brundtland commission of United Nations in 1992:
“Sustainable development is a development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
Based on this statement, sustainability comprises the three pillars: Environment, Economic, and Social.
GCE has selected three focus areas for the Social Responsibility policy and sustainability efforts:
